I'm July, the creator of Des fils & des mots.
My brand, "Des fils et des mots," brings together my creativity and passion for literature. Each of my creations is handmade. They highlight words, characters, or the title of a work of French literature and elsewhere.
Here, I'm everywhere. I imagine and create the products with my own little hands, first through drawings. I also take full responsibility for the online store, photography, orders, and much more...

My brand Des fils et des mots was born from a lack in my life as a reader. The lack of ever finding the "perfect" bookmark (in my opinion) with little flowers, which would last over time and follow me through my readings... Also, always having to wrap my books in a fabric, in my bag, so that they don't get damaged. Being very careful with my books, I thought of a concept.
Then, we had to think about which models to invent, which fabrics, how etc… A sewing machine bought, tests…
In 2019, the bookmark was born.
A few months later, the envelope book cover was born.
And today, Threads and Words is what you see.

In the workshop, I am never alone.
I have two four-legged assistants. The first, the "woof" assistant named Prosper, who always slips a little ball under my feet while I sew. The second, the "meow" assistant named Sarabi, who always makes sure your order labels print correctly.
