My favorite cozy mystery books!

My dear readers, I've been thinking for a while about how I could share my daily readings with you (apart from my own creations that bear their names)... It's done! I welcome you to this literary journal, which I hope will be a source of inspiration for you!

As winter approaches, our landscapes take on beautiful autumnal colors and the temperatures drop, there's nothing better than a hot drink and wrapping yourself up in a cozy blanket! In my opinion, autumn is the perfect season to read short mysteries and put yourself in the shoes of a detective...

I started reading cozy mysteries this summer. A cozy mystery is a detective novel with an investigation without explicit violence and a rather soft and comforting setting.

Since August, I've been exploring this universe. I've "sampled" several series, some of which I've browsed at the library or bookstore.

I'm giving you a recap of my favorite series so far in this article.

I can't wait to finish the series I've started and then start and discover new ones!

The Ladies of Marlow Investigate by Robert Thorogood

Where it all began... I received it for free from Editions de La Martinière as part of a creative and literary project that you will discover on November 4th when the second volume is released. I devoured it, and so did my friends! I highly recommend it if you don't know which cozy mystery to start with.

MC Beaton's Agatha Raisin series

I'm on volume 13 and I'm completely addicted... Know that the one I liked the least is the first in the series. The poisoned quiche is "already seen" in my opinion. The following ones are completely worth the detour. However, the first volume is important because it places the characters in the story. Read it as an introduction and read them in order, you will enjoy your reading more. The investigations are different in each volume but the relationships between the characters evolve and follow the chronological order.

The Murderous Oxford Teas by HY Hanna

I've read the first volume and have already bought the next three... Dive into the heart of the Costwolds in a delicious tea room. A cozy, gourmet mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the novel!

Volume 1 of The Beatrice Hyde-Clare Mysteries by Lynn Messina

I really liked this first volume but I didn't finish the second... I completely lost interest! However, if you want a pleasant read without necessarily diving into a series of several volumes, this first volume is a very good choice.

I hope you enjoyed this first article and that it inspires you for your future reading! Feel free to share your favorite cozy mystery books with me.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
July, the creator.

Je n’ai lu que la série des Agathe RAISIN.Je n’ai pas encore fini la série et je ne m’en lasse pas
Je lis aussi une autre série de MARY LESTER dans Éditions du PALÉMON. Les intrigues se passent en Bretagne .
Bonne lecture a tous

Bonnes lectures.

J’ai hâte d’en commencer un ! Les thés meurtriers me tentent bien.
